Paint Chip Poetry

Something that is fun to do: create found poems using paint chips. Paint chips have great names now–it must be a growing challenge for these companies to come up with unique and appealing names for popular color palettes and trends. The benefit being…wonderful paint chip poems awaiting your discovery 😉 I love collecting these and finding poetic combinations from this unexpected source. It’s a good exercise for your creative mojo. Give it a try and you will see for yourself!

Here are two from my latest batch, “Poetry in the Park,” and “Space Cowboy.” As I always prefer, each poem is created solely from the paint chip names alone. I hope you enjoy 🙂

(FYI: In “Space Cowboy” the rocket-shaped paint chip name is “space suit.”)

"Poetry In The Park" Dancing leaf, Light as a feather. Fluttering monarch, Windflower. Autumn leaf. Poetry in the park.
